Team members and permissions
Go to the Team members page to invite colleagues to join your service.
You can invite team members who do not have a government email address.
GOV.UK Notify lets you set different permissions for each member of your team.
Choose from the following permissions:
- manage settings, team and usage
- see dashboard
- send messages
- add and edit templates
- manage API integration
About the ‘manage settings’ permission
Each service you add needs at least 2 team members with the ‘manage settings, team and usage’ permission.
Team members with the ‘manage settings’ permission are responsible for:
The service
- Managing the email, text message and letter settings
- Adding email or letter branding
- Requesting changes to daily message limits
- Changing the data retention period
- Deciding when to make the service live and when to delete it
Team members
- Adding team members to the service
- Making sure team members have the right permissions
- Helping team members if they lose access to their Notify account
- Removing team members who should no longer use Notify
- Sharing important information with your team, for example, price increases or changes to the free text message allowance
Usage
- Monitoring the number of emails, text messages and letters sent
- Checking how many free text messages your service has left
- Tracking what your service has spent
You will also act as a point of contact for anything related to billing.
